Electrical and Instrumentation services are an integral part of Fabricom’s UK operations. Led by a team of professional engineers the division has developed a broad range of experience in many industrial sectors. Projects are typically executed in industrial process unit environments and include the installation of equipment within hazardous areas. Fabricom are capable of designing, manufacturing, installing, inspecting, commissioning and maintaining E&I schemes by the utilisation of a core team of dedicated managers, engineers, supervisors and technicians. All activities are executed and certified in accordance with the company’s accredited operating procedures.
Design and Specification
Fabricom undertake design of instrumentation and electrical systems including specification of equipment, fault studies, control system selection/configuration and preparation of detailed design documentation.
Installation
Our team of skilled tradesmen are familiar with the installation of all major instrumentation and electrical equipment including various cable types and installation methods.
Testing and Inspection
In addition to the testing and inspection of installed schemes Fabricom, as a member of the NICEIC, undertake periodic inspection and testing of clients fixed and portable installation and appliances.
Maintenance
By utilising Fabricom's services, clients can programme maintenance routines without the need to increase manpower levels. All routine and preventative maintenance is carried out in line with current regulations, client requirements and manufacturer's recommendations.
Hazardous Area Installations
Fabricom have particular expertise in the selection, installation and maintenance of electrical equipment within hazardous areas. Specialist personnel are COMPEX trained.
Calibration and Loop Checking
Routine maintenance, calibration and inspection of electronic and pneumatic instrumentation using trained and experienced instrument technicians. Calibration of instrumentation is performed both on-site and within our Calibration facility.
Control System Assembly
Fabricom design, assemble and install control panels containing Programmable Logic Control (PLC’s), discreet controllers, HMI’s and hardwired relay logic. Software is written and tested by Fabricom Engineers.
