Leak Repairs UK provide on-site specialised mechanical services to power generators, petrochemical, refining, utility providers and 24 hour continuous process industries. These quality assured services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and are delivered by our multi-skilled technicians, qualified in specialist services including on-line, under-pressure leak sealing and hot tap connections.
As part of the Fabricom Group we can offer quick response solutions to all our customers including in-house manufacture of essential equipment.
Under-pressure leak sealing and clamp design
Leak sealing, on line and under pressure, allows processes to continue and save the cost of a system shutdown. Pressures from vacuum to 350 bar, at temperatures from -100°C to 750°C, can be sealed safely with proven methods and procedures. Steam, air, water, hydrocarbons and most chemicals can be sealed using our vast range of sealants. Purpose designed and built clamps and enclosures can be provided to suit most circumstances.
On-site machining and technical bolting
Flange facing, line boring, hole drilling, milling and key cutting can be performed on-site using a large range of pneumatic and hydraulic driven machines. Leak Repairs also has the experience, equipment and specialist skills to perform either torque control tightening or bolt tensioning to ensure leak free flanged joints.
Hot tapping and line stops
Hot tapping gives the customer the satisfaction of line replacement, valve insertion and controlled line stops without costly production loss. Performed under pressure through plate valves, new lines can be installed safely and quickly using tested procedures, equipment and highly skilled technicians.
Pipe freezing
By cooling down the liquid in the line using liquid nitrogen (or an intermediary liquid), a solid plug will be formed and a non-destructive line stop will be achieved.
Emission monitoring and leak surveys
Emissions to the environment are caused by the leaking of mostly volatile organic matter through connections in pipelines and equipment. With a large amount of emission points, these small invisible leaks added together could result in a total emission of several tons. We specialise in the monitoring of such emissions using the latest portable analysing equipment. We can also undertake leak surveys of non-organic products and process fluids.
Specialist concrete and transformer repairs
Leak Repairs use specialist compounds, equipment and procedures to repair leaks, cracks and other failing components in concrete structures (tunnels for example), and HV transformers.
Safety valve lifting and testing
Leak Repairs can undertake specialist safety valve lifting and testing services using ‘Tenson’ computerised equipment.
