Fabricom Contracting Limited was awarded the contract for the execution of the mechanical works associated with the Zeebrugge Compression Facilities Project at the Bacton Terminal, Norfolk.

The installation works were broken down into four areas of the plant:

The 1000mm diameter underground gas main headers;
The 900mm diameter gas lines from the underground onto the existing plant;
The above ground gas trains in 700mm diameter pipe work including 150m of new pipe rack;
The pipe work associated with the build of a new boiler house.
Fabrication of gas pipe work and steel structures commenced August 2004 with mechanical completion due March 2005.

All of the main gas lines were manufactured at our Immingham Facility using the sub arc welding process.
