The HAFCO Tank Farm Perry Oaks installation provides fuel storage and pumping facilities at Heathrow Airport for the Central Terminal Area serving terminals 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 fuel hydrants.

Fabricom were awarded the contract by Laing Utilities on behalf of their client HAFCO (A joint venture company owned by BP International Ltd, Esso Petroleum Company Ltd, Shell UK Oil Products Ltd, TotalFinaElf UK Ltd, Texaco Ltd and Kuwait Petroleum International Aviation Co. Ltd).

Fabricom Contracting Limited’s scope included:

Fabrication and installation of approximately 7500m of epoxy lined carbon steel fuel pipe work, to ensure cleanliness, in varying sizes up to 750mm diameter;
Fabrication and installation of approximately 1400m of fire-main pipe work with an average bore of 150mm diameter;
Installation of mechanical equipment including 30 No. pumps, 22 No. fuel filters, 4 No. tanks, 1 No. compressor and miscellaneous equipment;
Supply, fabrication and installation of 300 tonnes of platforms and walkway steelwork.
