Fabricom Contracting carried out the complete dressing of 13 No. columns. The scope of supply included pipe work fabrication, erection and testing, electrical and instrumentation supply and installation, erection of platforms, ladders and supports, installation of internal tray work, insulation of the column and connecting pipe work, fire protection of column skirts. Fabricom were also responsible for the transportation of the columns from our facility to the site at Hull, this was carried out using specialist transport from our facility into the docks at Immingham, via. our private access bridge, then by ship across the river Humber and then loaded back onto specialist transport for delivery into the site. The clients delivery requirements were of paramount importance so detailed planning works were required to enable the multi disciplined works to be carried out in a very intense, short work period.
